CORD GRASS
Cord Grass, Spartina alternaflora:
Dominant intertidal grass usually found on the fringe of the marsh. It grows
from three to seven feet high. The grass is flat
bladed wtih parallel veination. Spartina alternaflora has the highest
productivity of marsh plants.
